ABOUT THE DIRECTOR

Laura De Baudringhien graduated in 2022 with the documentary “From Moerbeke with Love” at RITCS School of Arts in Brussels. She previously obtained a master’s degrees in social and cultural anthropology at the University of Leuven. This interesting combination of audiovisual arts and anthropology can be felt in her self-reflective approach and the way she engages with certain societal issues. Through her work and by involving diverse voices, she often explores how we can try to better understand each other in all our (inter)cultural diversity and sensitivity.

A more feminist view on stereotypical representations form a continuous thread. In addition to this, Laura also tries to apply this in her job for the Flemish radio and tv broadcasters, where she follows the Molenbeek Girls for one year throughout their football season.
